CCTA Spraying Clinic and Lease Workshop
Don't start another year without the most up to date information!
CCTA is partnering with UNL to bring you the latest in pesticide application technology. This comprehensive training with the UNL mobile lab will be the best training you attend this summer!
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln at the West Central Research and Extension Center has established a large effort in pesticide application research dating back to the 1970’s. In the last four years, a large effort was put into establishing the Pesticide Application Technology (PAT) lab, equipped with a state-of-the-art greenhouse and wind tunnels for making droplet size measurements as well as conducting simulated field drift studies. The lab has also generated significant data from field studies on pesticide efficacy and field drift. Greg Kruger, UNL Assitant Professor Weed Science and Application Technolgy Specialist will lead the PAT training. The new Mobile Training Lab allows the PAT lab to conduct trainings across the country on nozzle type and nozzle selection, pesticide application parameters, adjuvants, and other aspects of pesticide applications to ensure that applicators have the most current information available at their disposal. With increasing pressure to reduce drift, pesticide use, and resistance while increasing the sustainability and efficacy of crop production systems, don’t miss this clinic!
Following the PAT workshop CCTA will host a farm lease workshop with Agriculture Attourney Jenna Keller. This hands on clinic will allow landowners and tenants to learn about lease options that may work better for their situation than the standard lease agreements, and how new energy opportunities can be incorporated into farm leases. A 60 minute presentation will cover mineral and wind lease considerations and alternative lease formats.
This practical application workshop is intended to produce written results for attendees. Bring your current leases, and you can work one-on-one with professional advisors who have extensive experience working with farm leases from agriculture attorneys to extension professionals. Norm Dalsted, CSU Extension Specialist will be on hand to work with attendees to update leases.
This event is free to those who registered for the 2016 High Plains No-Till Conference. If you have any questions please contact Becky Ravenkamp at Becky@HighPlainsNoTill.com or 719-740-7015.
