 PE Civil Exam Review Course

Fall 2014

**Registration deadline extended to August 13, 2014**

The Tennessee Society of Professional Engineers, in cooperation with the Tennessee Department of Transportation, will offer the PE Civil exam review course starting in August 18, 2014, at TDOT facilities across the state.  If you know someone who is taking the exam on October 24, 2014, please pass this information along.

The course, taught by Professional Engineers using the Civil Engineering Reference Manual (Lindeburg 13th edition - published by Professional Publications, Inc.), will focus on the “breadth” portion of the exam and will include the following general topics covered during the morning part of the exam:

Seismic and land surveying will not be covered in the review course, as they are not covered on the "breadth" part of the exam. If you would like to see the exam specifications, go to http://ncees.org/exams/pe-exam/ .

The class will meet every Monday evening from 5-8 pm CDT for 10 weeks (except Labor Day, when the class will be on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd). The instructors will offer a “live” session at TDOT’s Region 3 complex (Nashville), which will be simulcast to locations in Tri-Cities, Knoxville, Chattanooga, Jackson, and Memphis (based on people registering in each area).

Click here for the complete schedule and list of instructors.

If you are already licensed as a PE and would like to sit in on some of the sessions as a refresher for PDHs, you may register for a single session (or more)

The cost will be $400 per person for TSPE members (a membership application must be submitted before the course begins).  Your registration and location will be confirmed.

NOTE: TSPE reserves the right to cancel a complete course or an individual session offering in case of inadequate enrollment or in case of an emergency or natural disaster. In the case of inadequate enrollment, TSPE will notify registered participants prior to the scheduled start date and issue a full refund to the participant or hold a credit for the next scheduled offering of the same course.  In the case of a cancellation because of an emergency or natural disaster, TSPE will notify all participants when possible, and reschedule the course offering for another date closest to the original date as possible.
