2015 NSO Holiday Elf Program

Share the magic of the holidays!

Share the magic of the holidays and make a difference by becoming an NSO Holiday Elf.

NSO has opportunities for individuals, families, businesses, departments/teams and community and faith organizations to share your holiday spirit.  The NSO Holiday Elf Progam offers you a wide variety of ways to give to your neighbors at the level and in the way you choose.  Together, we will be helping thousands of our community's most vulnerable individuals and families have a holiday to remember.

Review the list of NSO Holiday Elf options below.

NSO Holiday Elf Program Options

NSO Supportive Housing Giving Tree - Make the holiday special for a formerly homeless individual that now has a home.  Their holidays will be warm, but very lonely.  Your gift will remind them that they are not alone.  NSO Elves will receive a newly housed adult's name and their wish list.  Elves are asked to spend no more than $25 per individual.

CLOSED - NSO Adopt-a-Senior - CLOSED  - Thanks to the generousity of our Holiday Elves, all of the Seniors on our list have been adopted.  Please consider supporting our Youth Programs - Gift Cards for Young Leaders or the Supportive Housing Giving Tree.

NSO Youth Programs - Gift Cards for Young Leaders - NSO Youth Initiatives Project (YIP) and YouthLink programs serve young men and women from the city's most vulnerable neighborhoods.  NSO provides them with leadership and community activism skills along with education, career awaremess, work readiness, life skills, tutoring and mentoring.  Participants come from families with few resources.  Your $25 gift card to a store of their choice will be a welcome holiday gift for our future leaders.  Elves will receive the youth's name, age, school, gift card store of choice and learn about their dream, goal or inspiration.

NSO Homeless Recovery Services Winter Warmth Wish List - Hundreds of homeless individuals with nowhere else to go will spend their nights on the cold hard streets.  You can warm their hands, feet and hearts by donating items on the Winter Warmth Wish List.

NSO Life Choices Wish List for Developmentally Disabled Adults & Children - Developmentally disabled adults and children served by NSO Life Choices enjoy simple games, puzzles, craft projects and other toys.  NSO Elves can help by supplying these items that can be used throughout the year to help improve motor and social skills.

NSO Homeless to Home - A Place to Call Home Housewarming Parties - NSO Elves are needed to collect new household goods for individuals who have nothing, as they move from the streets to a home while receiving the support they need from NSO.  Everyone deserves a fresh start and your gift of new household goods will help a formerly homeless man or woman start theirs.  Elves may choose to outfit an entire apartment or choose to outfit just one room such as a kitchen, bedroom or bathroom.
