Council of Red River War Heritage Partners 2016 

COUNCIL OF THE RED RIVER WAR HERITAGE PARTNERS

A gathering to commemorate the history of the Texas Panhandle during the 1874–75 Red River War Campaign, and to honor Native American and U.S. military culture
AND
A collaborative strategy workshop for interpretation, education, and promotion benefiting museums, sites, and communities within the Red River War region
IN Old Mobeetie, Texas

Your participation and presence are requested at this Council held on a date remembering the establishment of Fort Elliott in June, 1875. This collaborative summit will help create and maintain a tourism initiative for the Red River War project. We need your help in determining partnerships, marketing initiatives and more.

Presentations, lunch, & breakout sessions
This important day of hands-on sessions will be spent working on the Red River War project and discovering how you and your institution can take part. 
$35. Stakeholders in preserving, educating about, and promoting the history of the Red River War are encouraged to participate.

Held under the auspices of the Panhandle Tourism Marketing Council in partnership with area museums, monuments, the Texas Plains Trail Region, and the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum.

Registration handled via the Texas Plains Trail Region.
