Document, Discipline, Due Process

Disciplining an employee can be one of the toughest parts of being a manager or supervisor. Participants will learn how to identify problems early, approach employees with proactive communication, and follow through with effective documentation. This course is a useful resource for managers and supervisors who need help in understanding the importance of disciplining employees in a timely and consistent manner. Participants will:

  • Maintain documentation to support disciplinary and employment decisions.
  • Review the progressive discipline process.
  • Recognize due process obligations.
  • Define “just cause.”
