A Key to Successful Performance
in the Design and Construction Industry
Through CSI's certification program, professionals develop and sharpen construction documentation skills that make them a valuable resource to any project. Everyone involved in the various stages of the Construction Process should have the basic knowledge of construction documents and communications that are tested for the CDT Exam. This guidance-presentation not only intended for the traditional players in the industry, but also (and mainly) to those who get involved in Construction Contracts and communications without necessarily having a building background, like Procurement Agents, Attorneys, Project Managers in Public Entities and Developers, among others.
CSI has four designations:
CDT: The Construction Documents Technology Certificate is a comprehensive overview for anyone who writes, interprets, enforces, or manages construction documents.
CCS: The Certified Construction Specifier demonstrates excellence in specifications & contract document preparation.
CCCA: The Certified Construction Contract Administrator truly understands all facets of the construction process & contractual relationships.
CCPR: The Certified Construction Product Representative has an in-depth understanding of the construction process & superior ability in effective representation.
The presentation will be about the different certifications, an overview of the content of the CDT Exam, available study material and sessions as well as upcoming testing dates.

- Identify the resources for preparing for the Exams
- Know the available exam dates and how to enroll
- Understand the importance of the knowledge and skills obtained through the preparation for the Exams, which are key for efficient communication troughout the industry and successful projects for everybody involved.
Speaker Bio 
Jorge Schapira is an Independent Architect based in Las Vegas, NV, Past-President of the CSI Las Vegas Chapter and former instructor and Chair of the CSI-Las Vegas Preparation Sessions for the CDT Certification Exam.
Jorge got his first contractor’s license in Buenos Aires, Argentina at age 19 and has been working in the construction industry in different roles since then.
Jorge is an advocate of education in the construction industry. He is also a member of the AIA, NCARB, USGBC, SAME and the Southern Nevada Chapter of ICC.
