What Drives You?
Keys to understanding your behavior and the behaviors of the people around you.

This two-day workshop introduces you to the key concepts underlying the complex relationships you experience at work and with your family. Applicable to both organizations and families, these underlying motivating forces shape much of what we see unfolding in human relationships. Through experiential learning activities you will explore the interplay of:

  • Conscience - the great pretender
  • Belonging - an inescapable part of being human
  • Give and Take - the dynamic balance that can make relationships thrive or fail
  • Attachment Styles - how our early pre-verbal patterning influences our view of other people and is quicker than our mind
  • Social Order - a felt but not often seen factor in our relationships.

These are real-world keys to your relationships, at home or at work.

Participants in the workshop have the option at no extra charge to join the public workshop on Sunday and observe Jane facilitating constellations!

*This course can serve as your prerequisite to attending the Art of Faciltation Program fall of 2018-Spring 2019.

What people are saying . . .

The Human Systems Institute is emerging as a critical piece in the evolution and integrity of Constellation Work and the art of facilitation, as it is practiced and experienced. Jane is a masterful practitioner who is able to distill and teach the fundamentals of this work, so Constellation Work can proliferate and expand its impact on all of our relationships--intimate, family, work, and community relationships. Such care is taken to ground the work in what we can observe through other disciplines' supporting research and work. This includes a cross-pollination of the advances in interpersonal neurobiology, systems thinking, attachment theory, social constructionist practices, and permaculture, while honoring the brilliant work of Bert Hellinger, early practitioners of this work, and the legacy and deep roots of this work that predates this iteration of our human potential.
I have benefited as a facilitator from Jane's expert teaching and coaching. Her astute observations, framing, and gentle guidance has helped me grow as a facilitator. Facilitation is a dynamic, living Art, and I feel empowered to offer this work to individuals, couples, families, organizations, and communities with integrity, greater capacity, and firm footing in safe practices. I highly recommend this well-rounded, robust, and inspiring training.  -- David Todd

As a professor of education, I have keenly observed and learned from Jane Peterson's skill as a teacher. Her presentations are carefully geared to suit all of our learning styles. She encourages us to read in areas that we are particularly interested in. She pays close attention to each of our strengths and areas that need developing and structures her assignments on an individual basis to address these needs. When speaking to a group, she attends most carefully to the group's state. And, as an excellent trainer of trainers, she points out to us what she is doing, so that we can learn to do the same thing.
