Through the Women's Business Enterprise Center-East (WBEC-East) a regional partner of the national WBENC organization, your business can apply for a certification that is accepted by over 700 major corporations, non-profit organizations, as well as many local, state, and Federal government agencies. WBENC certification is an important marketing tool for expanding your company's visibility among and access to decision makers in supplier diversity and procurement offices. Many corporations require that you be WBENC-certified before providing access to their supplier diversity programs.

Becoming certified as a Women's Business Enterprise (WBE) is about so much more than being able to attach the colorful "women owned" logo to your business card. It's about opening up doors to a network of thousands of other women entrepreneurs and hundreds of corporate and government partners looking to work with women-owned busines.

We will cover:

- The eligibility requirements so you can know if certification is right for you

- The process, costs, documents required and what to expect

- The benefits and opportunities available to certified women owned businesses

WBENC is the largest certifier of women-owned businesses and is recognized by hundreds of major corporations and government agencies with supplier diversity programs. We'll show you how to gain this prestigious certificate and use it to build your business!

Colleen LaCoss is the certification manager with the Women’s Business Enterprise Center – East, leading a team that certifies and serves over 1,400 women owned businesses each year in our region, and growing.
