Dr Arleigh McCurdy

Dr. McCurdy is originally from Kenora, Ontario. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health and Biology at the University of Waterloo. She then travelled east and received her MD from the University of Ottawa. She continued the move east and did residencies in Internal Medicine and Hematology at Dalhousie University in Halifax. She has board certification in both specialties and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. McCurdy then moved south of the border and worked as an Associate Consultant in the Myeloma/Amyloid/Dysproteinemia Group at Mayo Clinic Rochester. She then moved back to Ottawa, where she is currently the Disease Site Lead for the Myeloma Program at The Ottawa Hospital and an Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa. She recently completed a Masters of Health Administration from Dalhousie University, and has academic interests in health management, quality improvement, and health policy. She oversees the Clinical Trials program for multiple myeloma at The Ottawa Hospital and conducts clinical research in multiple myeloma and related disorders. She is the proud mom of 2 girls who are 2 and 4.
