LOCATION: Blue Jay Point County Park - along Falls Lake
TIME: Meet at 4 pm on Sunday, September 8th
HIKE DESCRIPTION: Join naturalist and NC State forestry professor Steph Jeffries on an easy 2.2 mi natural surface loop and learn how to "see the forest with the trees." She'll talk about our local Piedmont forests and show you how to identify some common species. This walk is informal and fun! Children are welcome; please leave pets at home.
LENGTH OF HIKE: 2.2 Miles (loop).
DIFFICULTY: Easy
MEETING LOCATION: Blue Jay Point Visitor's Center (meet in front, or just inside if raining). Blue Jay Point County Park, 3200 Pleasant Union Church Road, Bayleaf Ridge, Barton's Creek, NC 27614.
