Greensboro-MST Birthday Hike

LOCATION: This hike will start and end in Bur-Mil Park. Bur-Mil Park is a Guilford County park located along the shores of Lake Brandt and offers a wide variety of recreational opportunities. We will start from the Wildlife Education Center and follow the trail east along the shoreline to the Atlantic and Yadkin Greenway. From there, we will take the greenway north for approximately one mile back to the trailhead.

HIKE DESCRIPTION: Owl's Roost is part of Greensboro's extensive watershed trail system. This natural surface trail follows the shoreline of Lake Brandt with plenty of water views, wildlife, flowers and trees. This is a shared use trail and is designed for the enjoyment of mountain bike enthusiasts and hikers alike. While there isn't a lot of elevation gain on this trail, there are a lot of ups and downs as well as roots and rocks. The trail is well signed. At the southern terminus of the trail, we will pick up the Atlantic and Yadkin Greenway and walk 1 mile back to the trailhead.
