Join us at FMST's Annual Meeting on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Registration opens at 9:00 am so come early to meet other Mountains-to-Sea Trail enthusiasts.

We've planned a fun and fast-paced agenda to help you learn more about trail progress, future projects and how you can get involved.

Saturday's agenda includes:

  • Reports on progress to build, maintain and promote the MST
  • Presentations to help you learn more about newly-opened sections of the trail
  • A keynote address by Tom Earnhardt, writer and host of UNC-TV's Exploring NC, who just produced Highway to the Future, a gorgeous, infomative program about the MST and where it is headed
  • An update from State Parks Director Mike Murphy about the MST master plan, 2016 State Parks Centennial and other issues
  • Three afternoon workshops about 1) how to hike the trail; 2) technology for "trail-heads" and 3) how "trail towns" along the MST can help promote the trail
  • Awards for hikers who have completed the trail and for outstanding volunteers
  • Opportunities for you to ask questions and share your views
  • Directions to nearby sections of the MST if you would like to take a hike
  • A delicious lunch with old and new friends!

The meeting will be in the Moseley Center on the beautiful campus of Elon University. There is plenty of parking in the visitors lot directly across the street from Moseley Center.

Lunch will be catered by Aramark, Elon's on-campus food service. FMST is working with Aramark to source locally grown foods and use serving products to promote sustainability.

This meeting is a great way to learn about the MST and about how you can get more involved in our work.

The meeting costs $25 for FMST members, and additional family members can attend for $20 each and $15 for students. Non-members who are interested in attending are encouraged to join FMST for $25.

RSVPS are required by Tuesday, February 3rd.
