Registration for the 2015 "St. Clair County's Got Talent" Contest! Deadline Extended To Jan. 9th 

Can you sing, dance, act or play an instrument? Are you a resident of St. Clair County? Then show St. Clair County your talent and win some money on January 24, 2015. Professional judges will determine the winners and prize money will be awarded. Don't delay! The application deadline has been extended to January 9, 2015.

Competitors Must Be A Resident of St. Clair County AND 12 Years Of Age And Up.

Singing, Acting, Dancing, Instrumentals

$15.00 Audition Fees, Non-Refundable

Auditions - Saturday, Januaray 10, 2015 at 10:00 am at CEPA - The Pell City Center.  1 to 2 minutes, singers acapello, dancers may bring music.  (See audition rules below) 

5 local judges will oversee the 1st and 2nd round of auditions,  Final performance judges will features 5 area performance professional from outside the county.

AUDITION RULES

1. The auditions will take place on Saturday, January 10, 2015 beginning at 10:00am and running approximately 2 hours.  The auditions will be held at CEPA - The Pell City Center For Education and Performing Arts, located at 125 Willliamson Drive Pell city Alabama

2. If you are auditioning, you should receive an email or phone call with your audition time. If you have not received your time, please let us know as soon as possible.

3. All audition times are scheduled on the hour. Please try to arrive 15-20 minutes early to complete registration. Those auditioning will be taken into the theater in groups at the top of each hour. If you miss your call time, you will not be allowed in the theater with your group and will have to wait until the next hour or until later as a spot becomes available.

4. All vocal auditions must be primarily a cappella. You will not be allowed to sing with a prerecorded backing vocal track. You will, however, be allowed to sing with accompaniment (acoustic guitar, keyboard, etc...) please bring you instruments with you to the audition.

5. If you are a dancer, cheer team, gymnast, etc..., you will be allowed to perform with a music track. Please bring a cd labeled with your name and song title on the cd. We would suggest that your performance song be the only song on the cd. If that is not possible, please make sure we know at registration what track you will be performing to.

6. All auditions will be recorded for the judging panel to refer back to for deliberation.

7. Your family and friends are allowed to come with you to the audition and will be allowed to watch as long as it does not become a distraction. They will only be allowed into the theater at the top of the hour each hour so please ask them to be on time. Once a group is inside of the theater for auditions we will not allow anyone in or out of the theater until all acts in that group have auditioned. If it becomes a distraction to the acts auditioning, we will ask everyone to leave and the auditions will be closed to participants only from that point forward. Please be respectful of your fellow competitors and their time on the stage. It is ok for you to cheer for the acts but please keep it from becoming a distraction.

8. If you are a dancer, please be advised that the stage at the CEPA Theater is a painted hardwood floor. Dancers, cheer teams and gymnasts will be allowed extra time to practice on the floor before their audition. The use of rosin is allowed.

9. We still have some spots available for auditions on Sunday. If you know of anyone that would like to compete, please have them arrive at 1:00 pm to fill out an application. The late entrance fee is increased to $20 to include a $5 late fee. They will be worked in to an audition spot once their registration is complete.

10. You will not receive any results at this audition. The judging panel will review all of the auditions and will decide who receives a call back for the Sunday, 2nd round audition. The call back auditions are scheduled for Sunday, January 4, 2015 at CEPA - The Pell City Center.  If you are selected for the call back auditions, you must perform your full act as you would perform it for the final competition. After the call back auditions, you will not be allowed to change your act in any way.
