ABOUT THE EVENT

United Way is the philanthropic marketplace – the intersection of corporate and community. We are an established philanthropic powerhouse with an extensive network of investors, advocates, volunteers, and innovative tools that inspire individuals to connect with causes that move them.

And coming this June, United Ways of Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio have joined forces with United Way Worldwide to offer a unique low cost, donor-centric, high value learning opportunity for local United Ways of all sizes.

The United Way Tri-State Strategic Communications Summit, presented by FamilyWize, begins on June 3 at 3:30 P.M. ET with a pre-summit session: United Way Marketing and Communications 101. The full summit continues from 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. ET on June 4, when United Way Worldwide’s Neil Parekh will join local experts to offer communication tools and tactics to strategically engage partners, donors, and volunteers. You will take away donor-centric marketing and communication approaches that your local United Way can easily integrate into three major functional areas: community impact, resource development, and public policy. You will learn how to strengthen your campaigns and partnerships through a re-energized communications lens.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This program was designed with the goal of helping local United Ways break down functional area silos, while recognizing that many local United Way staff have cross-functional roles. This marketing and communications program content is highly relevant to major functional areas: community impact, resource development, and public policy, and larger United Ways should consider registering staff from each segment. From small United Way executives to large United Way department teams, this content is designed for YOU:

  • Executives
  • Board Members
  • Community Volunteers
  • Resource Development Professionals
  • Community Impact Professionals
  • Communications & Marketing Specialists
  • Public Policy Professionals
  • Cross-functional Professionals
  • Those looking to learn more about one of the above functional areas
Though this event was designed for United Way staff, Board Members and Community Volunteers are also welcome to attend to learn a deeper understanding of their organizations, and how they can continue to support and strengthen their function and capacity.
