2018 Punkin' Chunkin'
Farmer's and Craft Market
Frink Park - Clayton, NY

The Clayton Chamber will be running the Farmers Market at Punkin' Chunkin' this year and will be working with Kim Sherman of 51 Events who has done a tremendous job in organizing this event the last few years. This years Event will be throughout all of Downtown Clayton again so the setup will be slightly different. We can't guarantee anyone the same spots as last year but will do our best to accomodate everyone based on the best interest and logistics of the event.

  • THE EVENT IS OUTSIDE AND WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN OR SHINE.
  • Vendors will supply their own tents (weights are suggested as most will be on the road).
  • Vendors provide their own tables and chairs.
  • Electricity is not available.
  • No vehicles will be permitted to park on-site.
  • Vendors must clean up their own refuse and remove from the Market site.
  • The vendor, if a seller of fresh produce, must be the actual producer. However, vendors who are dealers (buying for resale) and not producers must have a DBA.
  • If selling taxable items, vendors mujst have a current New York State Tax Certificate.
  • All vendors must supply their D.B.A., if they have one and a copy of the Sales Tax Certificate of authority must accompany the application if taxable items are being offered for sale.
  • A vendor selling any live nursery products must hold a current license to sell the product from the Dept. of Agriculture and Markets and a copy of the license must accompany the application.
  • The applicant must be prepared to offer for sale farm products, plants, flowers or such articles of a handmade variety normally classified as Arts & Crafts.
  • All baked goods, jams, jellies, candies, etc., must be homemade and pre-packaged.  No bulk sale of items permitted. No pickles allowed. No meat products allowed unless documentation of all necessary licensing is provided.  Meat products sold must be kept properly refrigerated at 38 degrees or less.

The Clayton Chamber of Commerce Farmer's Market operates with a committee made up of representatives from the Chamber of Commerce. The Committee has been established to enforce the Rules of the Market. Any infractions of these rules will be brought to the attention of the vendor.  If the violation persists, a letter of warning will be mailed to the vendor. If this does not correct the problem, the vendor's permit will be revoked and he/she will be denied the right to participate in the Market.

Participants in the Punkin' Chunkin' Farmers Market must meet the eligibility requirements and follow the Market Guidelines established by the Clayton Chamber of Commerce. If accepted you are to comply with the Rules of the Market.
