WMPRSA is once again offering its members a subscription rate for its upcoming 2017 programs! Members who subscribe receive $50 off the series - the cost of two luncheons! This low-cost rate is only available to WMRPSA chapter members* and covers your attendance to ALL of the upcoming luncheon programs:

January 19 | Keeping it fresh: The evolution of ArtPrize
Join Todd Herring, director of creative and communications, to learn how ArtPrize (now in its ninth year) continues to evolve, how his team works to keep it fresh year over year, and how you can apply lessons from the world's largest public art event.

February 16 | Real-time solutions to real-life social media challenges
Brainstorming session where participants will work in small groups to develop solutions to actual social media challenges submitted by WMPRSA members. Please join us for this highly collaborative, hands-on session.

March 16 | The changing media landscape: How to keep your story alive 
Steve Kelso, Marketing and Communications Manager for the Kent County Health Department and TV news veteran, will share with us a few actionable items to help us navigate the changing media landscape brought about by the rise of content marketing and social media. 

April 20 | Meet the Media
Join us for our always-popular speed pitching event, Meet the Media, featuring more than a dozen area journalists. (Check monthly program invitation for location.)

May (date TBD) | Insights on the changing media relations landscape at USA TODAY
USA TODAY’s Deputy World Editor will provide an insightful look into the multi-platform news media company within the changing landscape of international media and media relations. She’ll join us via Skype and will also provide tips on working with national media.

June 29 | Preparing your spokesperson for the “Ask Me Anything” moments
Walt Parker, senior vice president at Weber Shandwick in Minneapolis, will lead this jam-packed core media training session.

September 21 | Engaging your audiences: Content that works from headline to junkline
Veteran MLive business reporter, Shandra Martinez, and Beth Dornan, APR, Manager - Global Content & PR at Amway, share proven tips to improve your writing, messaging and content effectiveness, starting with headlines that compel the viewer to click and ending with content that inspires comment and shares.

October 19 | Case study: Managing the message when the message is unimaginable
Eric Alberts, emergency preparedness manager at Orlando Health, will explain how the hospital managed communication throughout the June 2016 Pulse Nightclub shooting crisis.

November 16 | How to create a presentation that doesn’t suck
Practical tips on how to inspire audiences with engaging presentation design and content.

 

Unless otherwise noted on monthly program invitations, all luncheon programs will be held from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Grand Rapids Community Foundation, 185 Oakes St SW, downtown Grand Rapids.

All the luncheons listed above begin with registration/networking at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch and the program at noon.

Cost for the 2017 Program Subscription Rate is $175 and is NOT transferable to others attending in your place. Already paid for January and/or February? Use code "JANUARY" and/or "FEBRUARY" at checkout to have your 2017 payments credited toward the subscription rate.
