Wisconsin Environmental Health Association 2017 Educational Conference 

Join your peers for our newly established annual educational conference. We are trying a new format that will include the option of:

Day 1 "Training Day"- possible topics include human health hazards/risk exposure, lead, advanced healthspace training, or environmental health involvment with meth labs. Finalized training options will be posted soon.

Day 2 & 3 "The Conference"- will be the second day (Thursday) and a half day on the third day (Friday). The sessions will consist of general environmental health and food safety.

Sessions will be added over the next few months with most current agenda updates posted on the WEHA website.  Sessions in the works include:

- What does a "fee funded" program look like?

-The ins and outs of refrigeration and tips inspectors can look for when inspecting

- Brewery's, Brew Pubs and other DATCP/Agent crossover licensing scenarios

We are pleased to announce our "opening & closing" speakers for 2017. Jay Ellingson from Kwik Trip will start us off and Susan Quam with the Wisconsin Restaurant Association will send us home. This will be a "shouldn't miss" conference in a beautiful part of our state!

Can't make the whole conference? Only want to attend the conference and not the training? You have the option to attend Day 1 only, Day 2 & 3 only, or all 3 days.

Registration Information:

Current WEHA members register at a discount. Not a WEHA member? Please join at www.weha.net, then come back and register.

Reduced rate registration will be open until September 11, 2017. A late fee will apply after September 11, 2017. Registration will close October 9, 2017, to allow printing and organization of agendas and packets as well as accurate food counts.

Day 1- Wednesday (Training Day) Training will go all day (8:00 am-5:00 pm), continental breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided). Following the training, the annual WEHA business meeting will take place, all are encouraged to attend.

Day 2- Thursday (Day 1 of the Conference) Conference will run all day 7:30 am-5:00 pm, and will include the following meals/breaks: hot breakfast, morning and afternoon snacks, lunch, and (NEW this year!) the awards banquet dinner that evening.

Day 3- Friday (Day 2 of the Conference) Conference is a half day running from 8:00 am-12:30 pm, and will include a hot breakfast and morning snack.

Hotel Information:

A block of reduced rate rooms is currently available (single room rate is $82 and double room rate is $102 per night). Use group code #7AS726 both when calling and for online reservations. Make sure to get your room reserved right away since we can not guarantee there will be rooms available closer to the event.

NOTE: This is a waterpark hotel. The hotel has extended a discounted rate of $129 per night for Friday night Oct. 20 and Saturday night Oct. 21. If you and/or your family wish to stay the weekend and take advantage of the water park and other ammenities, please call Sam Leber to reserve your room. Payments for the Conference:

Payments can be made through Paypal, mailed check, or by credit card (non Paypal account). To pay with credit card and not use a Paypal account, you will need to register first, mark the box "pay by check",  then call Brian at 715-485-8532 to provide credit card info and he will manually run your card. Your registration will be marked paid once confirmation of payment is received.

Silent Auction:

There will be an awesome silent auction to raise money for student scholarships. Bring your checkbook or credit card and spend some time Christmas shopping.

Great door prizes will be drawn and awarded to those in attendance after the final speaker.

There may be a special event on Wednesday evening (more info to follow).
