Fleisher From a Distance: Animal Drawing with Diane Collins

Take a break from your winter hibernation and join teaching artist Diane Collins to sketch everyone's favorite animal in motion. We will work from video references of polar bears as they move about their wild lives in Churchill, Canada. Capturing a gesture rapidly is key to comprehending a new subject in proportion and body expression.

Diane has worked as a professional artist since 1984. Diane has focused on fine art since 1992, including 21 years of experience in figurative animal sculpture. Diane has taught animal drawing and sculpture with PAFA and other institutions since 2005. With a strong foundation in animal anatomy, ecorche, and animal behavior, Diane provides students with the skills needed to effectively represent both the structure and spirit of the animals they study. Diane's artwork is in private collections throughout the northeastern US, California, and abroad.

This event is open to the public with a suggested donation of $10 but is limited to maximum number of 100 participants.
