Please note that entry fees are non-refundable. All entry fees are considered a donation the Kiwanis Club of East Orange County. If you are unable to attend the event, we will offer transfers to another participant until January 15th.

Awards

Awards will be given after the 5K for the following categories:

  • ALL PARTICIPANTS will receive a custom race medal for their race distance!

Runners must be present to recieve awards. Awards will not be mailed or otherwise delivered after the event.

New Run for the Kids Logo

The 6th Annual East Orange County Kiwanis Run For The Kids will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at beautiful Blanchard Park near UCF. Again this year, in preperation for Valentines day, we will "Run Our Heart Out" for our community. Come out for great activities, games, and fun!

The 5K (3.1 miles) is your first opportunity to stand up and help your community.

Need a little extra challenge? Try out our 10K (6.2 miles) for twice the fun! 

Looking for two chances to run for your community, and earn twice the bling, you can rack up some super human miles by attempting the Distance Dare of back-to-back 5K and 10K!

This year we will also be adding a Virtual Racer option. Now you can join us to help our community anywhere you want! All you have to do is sign up for any of the three Virtual Race options, run your desired distance the week of February 8, and post a photo of you at the end of your run with #EOCKiwanisRuns and we will send you your Run for the Kids gear!

Following the 5K & 10K, there will be a FREE Kids' Fun Run as well as refreshments, vendors, giveaways, and entertainment! Your participation benefits service leadership programs in our local schools.

This year, we continued our annual collection of Tons o’ Tuna for the Second Harvest Food Bank, committed a donation to Just 1 Book to update their fantastic Book Mobile, and held a charity Poker Tournament to benifit the internation Eliminate Project name a few things!
