Clinical Supervision Series: Legal, Ethical, and Professional Responsibilities
This six hour training will include a robust review of the legal and ethical issues associated with clinical supervision. Participants will have an opportunity to learn the most recent rules, laws, and ethics associated with the responsibility of clinical supervision. There will be an opportunity to discuss these concepts within the training group to enhance practical application and understanding. Participants will be provided with tip sheets and resources for easy reference.
Objectives:
- Participants will become aware of the inherent ethical and legal issues associated with clinical supervision.
- Participants will explore and understand concepts related to competence, due process in evaluation, informed consent, types of supervisor liability, privileged communication, and consultation,
- Participants will review the most updated regulatory issues including Ohio laws governing the practice of counseling and counseling supervision, professional standards and credentialing processes.
