FAQ's
What is the format of the program?
Symbolon: The Catholic Faith Explained will be used as the basis. Sessions will be facilitated by a local facilitator and will include time for discussion and prayer.
I did not participate last year. Can I join this year?
Yes! All are welcome to join. These videos are the second set of Symbolon videos, but you do not need to have watched the first series to participate.
What if I miss a session?
All participants will have online access to the videos to make up any missed sessions. You could also attend the session at a different location that month, if preferred.
Is there a certificate of completion?
Yes, this is optional for anyone desiring to complete an online quiz for each lesson. Any participant who successfully passes all 10 quizzes will receive a "Certificate of Completion." (Note: Two Symbolon lessons will be covered during each formation session. You can retake quizzes if needed.)
What if I am unable to pay the registration fee?
Please check first with your pastor to see if your parish may be able to assist. If this is not possible, then please contact Annette Merritt at the Diocese of Duluth (218-724-9111). Nobody will be turned away for financial reasons.
What materials should I bring?
Participant Handouts will be provided for each registered participant at the first session. Please bring these handouts to each session.

Registration Fee: $30
Spouse Rate: $15 (if other spouse registers at regulate rate)
Student Rate: $15
Clergy / Religious: Free (but, please register)
Includes handouts & binder, continental breakfast, Augustine Institute registration fee
Please register by November 1st in order to have materials ready at the first session.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds are available until October 26, 2018, less a $10 processing fee. Since materials need to be purchased, refunds are not available after this date.
To avoid a cancellation, you may find someone to take your place with no additional charge. Notify Annette Merritt (amerritt@dioceseduluth.org or 218-724-9111) of any cancellations or changes.
