A day of leadership training for clergy and laity in the Diocese of Bethlehem.
We are offering leadership topics to help you in your church duties, particularly aimed at vestry members, worship leaders, and spirituality leadership.
Workshop Descriptions:
Best Practices for Parish Finance: Charlie Barebo
Hands-on experience of completing the annual Parochial Report, setting up and managing a simple parish accounting system, overview of the key responsibilities of parish treasurers.
Benedictine Spirituality for Leadership: Laura Howell
Benedictine spirituality, an important part of our Anglican roots, teaches that we are all called to be leaders–in our churches, workplaces, families, even leaders of our own lives. Explore some of the leadership tools and wisdom this way offers us.
Worship Leadership Training: Anne Kitch
A Worship Leader is a lay person who regularly leads public worship, such as Morning Prayer, in a congregation under the direction of a member of the clergy (Canon III.4.4). This is a canonically licenced ministry in the Episcopal Church. This training session is the necessary pre-requisite in order to be licensed by the Bishop.
