CPTA Headquarters Tour and CNG Presentation

Join the Central PA Chapters of WTS and ASCE for a behind the scenes tour of the new CNG-ready headquarters for the Central Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (CPTA), also known as rabbittransit!   The tour includes lunch and a CNG presentation from PennDOT’s Bureau of Public Transportation. The original building was a 160,000 SF distribution warehouse. The recent overhaul included the creation of a bus “barn” to house transit buses, vans and coaches so the entire fleet is housed under one roof, nine maintenance work bays, chassis washes, outdoor space includes bus wash, fueling and fleet maintenance staging and over 20,000 SF for administrative office space for regional transit operations.  The facility was designed to be compliant for housing and fueling CNG vehicles with associated natural gas detection, ventilation and alarm systems. A CNG fueling station is currently under construction on-site.
