Advancing Core Advocacy Training in New Mexico Tribal Communities for New Advocates (40 Hour)

 

This in-person training is the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women's (CSVANW) 40 Hour-Core Advocacy Training that provides new domestic violence, sexual assault advocates and first responders with state certification across New Mexico and the Four Corners region. CSVANW's 40 Hour Advancing Core Advocacy Training is one of two state certified trainings for new advocates. We aim to help first responders and domestic violence advocates work together effectively in a time of crisis.

This training was scheduled for May 16th – 18th, 2023 from 9 am – 5 pm MDT at the Arc of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM. 

Due to unforeseen circumstances, CSVANW will need to postpone the 40-Hour training and the newly scheduled dates are May 30th – June 1st from 9 am – 5 pm MDT at the Arc of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM (same location). Advocates must attend all three days of training in order to receive certification.

UPDATE: On behalf of CSVANW, we would like to apologize for any technical difficulties that individuals had with signing up for 40-Hour Registration. We have implemented a new system that we need more support with than we anticipated. Because of this, we feel it is necessary to allow folks to register and access this training, while staying on schedule, and will forgo the training fee for this training session. For our future trainings, we will have a sliding scale fee. Thank you for your understanding and patience and we look forward to seeing you at our training!

40-Hour Certification

To receive the full 40-Hour Certification, advocates must also complete 16.25 hours of the OVC-TTAC Online Training. After completing the online training portion, advocates will upload their training hours to an AirTable link that will be provided. Here is the link to OVC trainings: OVC-TTAC Online Training
