Rewriting Our Story: Shifting Accountability to Address Gender-based Violence

Gender-based violence are harmful acts committed against folks from varying gender identities – women/femme, trans, and two-spirit. This virtual event will provide participants an understanding of gender-based violence and how it intersects with the missing and murdered crisis of Indigenous womengirlstrans, and two-spirit relatives.

Additionally, we will engage in meaningful discussion on how our men and boys can be a part of this discussion to talk accountability and awareness to end violence against women, trans, and two-spirit relatives.

Objectives:

  • Provide the audience with an understanding of what gender-based violence is
  • Create awareness around the intersections of gender-based violence and MMIWGT2S
  • Discussion: how do we engage our male relatives into the conversation to end gender-based violence as it relates to the MMIWGT2S crisis?
Presenters:
  • Dr. Christina Castro (Event Facilitator), Three Sisters Collective
  • More info to come!

This training will be recorded, and shared on the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women Facebook LIVE and the CSVANW YouTube channel.
