Jesus, Sex and Violence
What were Jesus' fundamental teachings about sex? What did he have to say about violence? How feasible are Jesus' teachings for us in the 21st Century? Come join this wide-ranging, thought-provoking discussion as we unpack faith-filled ways of understanding these issues.
Led by Rev. Bill Frisbie.

Centering Prayer
Centering Prayer is a receptive method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer -- prayer in which we experience God's presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. Centering Prayer is not meant to replace other kinds of prayer. Rather, it adds depth of meaning to all prayer and facilitates the movement from more active modes of prayer -- verbal, mental or affective prayer -- into a receptive prayer of resting in God. Centering Prayer emphasizes prayer as a personal relationship with God and as a movement beyond conversation with Christ to communion with Christ. Led by Jan Reed.

Make Stuff: Craft & Create
Engage your hands and creativity with a series of craft projects, including greeting cards and Advent calendars, for the upcoming holiday season. You're also invited to bring the craft projects you are currently working on and share your ideas with the group. This is a time for conversation, fun and tapping into your inner artist.
Led by Megan Otto, Rev. Heather Lee, Maren Roberts & Natasha Ulack.
