Data-‘Story’-thon

Presented by HIMSS Maryland Chapter & Data Analytics and Exchange Pillar Committee Volunteers

We’ll give you the data and you’ll give us the story!

Inspired by data storytelling, our Data Analytics & Exchange Committee has developed its    first-ever Data-‘Story’-thon.

We usually come across phrases such as ‘Data is the new currency,’ ‘Data is the new oil,’ and now with the COVID-19 pandemic, we have actually seen that data can save lives! Thinking about data with these perspectives and healthcare in mind, is any and every kind of data meaningful? Is data collection and dissemination enough to save a life or improve health outcomes for a population? How important is actionable data for caregivers, administrators, and leaders? Does representation of data matter?

Data needs to be transformed into information, and further, into knowledge to be useful. We believe knowledge is best shared or acquired when it is told as a story. Inspired by storytelling, Maryland HIMSS has developed its first-ever Data-‘Story’-thon. Show off your data analytics, informatics, and visualization skills while competing for prizes.

Know before you register:
