Economic Outlook & CFPB Updates
Please join us as we cover hot topics in the real estate industry. Mark Dotzour, Chief Economist and Director of Research for the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M University, will be giving his economic outlook for the housing market in the DFW region, and J.C. Johnson, Attorney at Dorsett Johnson & Swift, LLP, will be covering CFPB updates. The CFPB updates with J.C. is also a 1 hour optional MCE class. About Mark
Dr. Mark G. Dotzour earned his Ph.D. in the Department of Finance at the University of Texas at Austin in 1987 and served as Associate Professor of Real Estate and Finance at Wichita State University for 10 years. As Chief Economist, he is currently doing market research to monitor how global and national trends are likely to impact residential and commercial real estate markets. He will be covering the outlook for home sales volume and residential prices for brokers, home builders, developers, lenders and investors.
About J.C.
Serving in senior management executive roles in the insurance and real estate industries, as well as serving as legal counsel for numerous companies within those industries, has provided Mr. Johnson extensive knowledge of both the business and legal issues that face companies in the modern business environment. This understanding allows him to offer legal solutions that are efficient and effective. Mr. Johnson manages the real estate, title insurance and workers compensation divisions of Dorsett Johnson & Swift, LLP and supports the firm’s liability defense litigation division in the North Texas region.
