Held annually in October (Domestic Violence Awareness Month), the Power of Style fashion show raises funds for the YWCA Greater Harrisburg's Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) programs.

Why

Violence Intervention and Prevention Programs

The YWCA's Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) programs provide legal, counseling, employment and supportive services to local women and children regarding domestic and dating violence, sexual assault and human trafficking.

Services available include:

  • 24-hour crisis hotline: 1-800-654-1211
  • Legal services: Police, court, hospital and victim witness accompaniments, Domestic Violence Legal Clinic
  • Safe shelter: Domestic Violence Shelter for Women and Children
  • Mental health services: Support groups and individual counseling
  • Human trafficking services: Crisis response and intervention, case management, emergency shelter and more
