Parenting Right in the Middle is a series of events for parents of tweens (kids in grade 5 through 8). By providing education, tools and gathering space, this project will help parents move beyond crisis mode and into a more positive and intentional approach to parenting. This event is a “learning lab” that will give parents tools for intentional parenting, a model that combines warmth, support, stability and emotional responsiveness (“warmhearted”) with limit setting and parents’ own self-regulation (“coolheaded”).
Bring your questions, real-life scenarios and issues regarding setting limits and boundaries and following through with consequences. We'll share some role plays and then dive into group exercises and discussions that will help you practice using a Learner Mindset to guide you in setting and following through with limits and clarifying expectations.
