The third Bainbridge Healthy Youth Summit will move to an action-planning process, where people will be invited to work on community-generated projects which emerged from the first two Summits.  Participants will choose projects that spark their passion, and then provide input and/or take leadership roles, network, form partnerships, and become involved in new and collaborative ways to support youth.  We will be seeking to answer the question:

"How can we turn our vision for healthy youth into practice?"

  • The summit will be led by Doug Nathan, a professional facilitator, with  Carolyn Milander, a 2012 graduate of Bainbridge High School assisting.  Clay Roberts, Founder and President of Roberts and Associates of Bainbridge Island, will offer an interactive presentation: "Take a Moment, Make a Difference." Mr. Roberts has been a keynote presenter at over 700 international, national, regional, state, and local community events focused on positive youth development and has been featured on NBC's "Today Show."
  • Bainbridge Island Teens have been an important part of planning, and they are active participants of Summit 3.
  • If you didn't attend Summit 1 or 2, don't worry! Please come and participate fully. It is our hope that attendees of Summit 3 who did not attend previous Summits will review the work from our first two Summits in preparation. Visit the Summit website for videos and links to important information.
  • Our team of "conversation catalysts" will be available to help groups organize, clarify goals and determine next steps. Each of us has the opportunity to become a change maker!
