BILL LE PAGE wrote in his book, The Turning of the Key: "The only truly significant event in my life was my coming consciously into the orbit of Beloved Meher Baba's love at the age of twenty-two, the beginning and end of my life."
Bill had the good fortune to meet Avatar Meher Baba in 1954 and spend time with Him in 1956, 1958, 1962, and 1967.
Bill will share stories of his time with Meher Baba during his talk at Meher Mount on September 13 at 1:30 p.m. The event is free, and all are welcome.
Under Meher Baba's direction, Bill co-founded Avatar's Abode near Brisbane, Australia. He also built Meher House in Sydney, Australia. He tells the full story in The Turning of the Key.
Bill is also the author of Over the Years with Meher Baba, and The Divine Humanity of Meher Baba, Volumes I &II, which capture the stories and and memories of many of Meher Baba's close followers. He also compiled and edited, The Narrow Lane, a collection of passages from Meher Baba's Discourses.
DIANA LE PAGE is an artist whose art exclusively centers on Meher Baba. Her multiple panels depicting the life of Meher Baba grace the spacious dining room at the Meher Pilgrim Retreat in Meherabad, India.
She has recently published a book of her black and white drawings of Meher Baba punctuated with some of her favorite quotes of Meher Baba. Diana talks of her life as an artist and her focus on Meher Baba. See Diana's artwork.
General Guidelines for Your Visit
Sun Protection: A hat, sunglasses, and suncreen are highly recommended. The sun and heat can be quite strong.
Insect Repllent: If you use it, you might want insect repellent.
Walking: Close-toed walking shoes are suggested. Please pay attention to where you walk as there are rattlesnakes, uneven terrain, and gopher holes.
Flowers: You are always welcome to bring flowers to put under Baba's Tree.
Fire Danger: The fire danger is very, very high. Outdoor fires including candles, incenses and cigarettes are prohiitied. Smoking is only in your automobile in the parking area.
Pets: Please do not bring your pets to Meher Mount.
Children: Children are welcome. There is no child care. Parents are responsible for the safety of their children. Adults should be with children under 12 at all times. Children are not allowed on the historic farm equipment.
