Yoga for Cancer

Yoga for Cancer with Nicole

April 18th

2-3:30 PM

COST: $20

Please join us for a special class supporting those in our community affected by cancer. This practice is open to anyone effected by cancer whether you are currently going through treatment, in remission, a caretaker or know someone who is affected by cancer.

Please join us for 90 minutes of deep relaxation and restoration through Yin yoga.  The class will begin by creating a safe, comfortable space to share our cancer journeys with each other. We will move into a pranayama and a unique approach to asana matching the breath and movement to stimulate the immune system, improve range of motion and flexibly, reduce anxiety and boost overall well-being. We hope to see you there and build a beautiful community of thrivers!

Nicole found yoga while in college back in 2002 and has been practicing ever since. She is a mom of three boys and finds peace from her busy life by mediating and visiting her happy place the ocean! After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 she deepened her practice by completing her yoga teacher training in the Hatha Yoga tradition with her friend and cherished teacher, Angela Quinn (500 ERYT). Nicole’s deep personal connection to the purpose of yoga to yoke both the mind and body to heal life’s challenges allows her to offer a unique understanding of the science of yoga and its benefits, as well as a deep compassion for others. Nicole teaches from a place of true love and gratitude to all her students. She creates classes that focus on self awareness and self love. She hopes every student leaves her class feeling more equipped to live longer, healthier and happier lives. Nicole is dedicated to helping others find power, love and support through yoga.
