As we get older, our nutrition needs change. As your metabolism slows you need fewer calories, however you need more nutritents such as Calcium, Vitamin D and Vitamin B6. Healthy eating will give you the energy to continue to do activities you enjoy. It also helps prevent disease and cancer, while allowing you to feel and be your best.
The American Dietetic Association recommends paying close attention to the following nutrients as we get older. Visit the ADA website for details and other links for healthy aging nutritional tips.
