Move your drumming to the next level!
For those who've taken our Intermediate Drumming Course at least a few times and wish to move at a faster rate of learning, this course is for you. If you are an Advanced Djembe or Dunun Player you may also fit right in. We'll always review the basics and go on to learn the language of the drum in this lively, hands-on course.
If you are not afraid to move quickly thru rhythms and get your hands moving fast, this is the course you will love!
We'll explore the rhythms of Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and The Gambia. History of the rhythms and dances as well as solo phrases and arrangements will be taught.
Unleash your musical ability as we find our drumming voices together. Each student will receive individual attention. Bring a djembe and or a dunun to class. If you don't own a drum, you can rent one from DrumConnection.
$240.- for 10 Weeks

Optional: Please bring a recorder and maybe pen and paper. Bring a drum or rent one of ours!

This Advanced Class is a fast paced, really fun night of drumming lead by Dean Fisher who is comitted to teaching authentic Guinean, Malian and other African rhythms. While we do get through a lot of material in a night, we never forget to have a fun time. Come join us to see how good a drum class can be!
