Calming the Whirlwind of our Mind
A special five week introduction to Buddhist Meditation
within the Tibetan Drikung Kagyu Lineage,
Tuesday Evenings, 7 to 9PM
Nov. 20th through Dec. 18th
We invite you to practice, explore and learn about Buddhist Meditation and philosophy in a relaxed and joyous atmosphere. This class is open to beginners as well as more advanced students. This class will introduce methods that can help us transform our lives into ones full of meaning and joy. These methods of practice will be presented within a rich environment of inspiring prayers, chants and songs. Calm Abiding Meditation (Shinay) and Special Insight Meditation (Lhatong) are two of the essential ingredients on the road to enlightenment and can help us calm the whirlwind of our mind.
Classes will be led by senior student David Tucker, in conjuntion with our resident Lama and Spiritual Director, Venerable Lama Konchok Sonam. Suggested donation of 10.00 per class. Please try to make all of the classes if you can, but you may also attend as many as you like. See you there!
