NKBA Susquehanna Valley Event!

“Creating Kitchens for Clients Who Enjoy Entertaining”

The Susquehanna Valley Chapter of the NKBA is proud to bring you this infomative seminar on “Creating Kitchens for Clients Who Enjoy Entertaining”  presented by Briana Simmons from the Whirlpool Corporation.

In addition to a well-organized kitchen space serving the cook, rooms today are designed to create a space for entertaining. Sometimes, special spaces are planned for gala parties followed by a catered meal. For other families, a small kitchen may be transformed into a multi-tasking center ready to serve as a cooking center, as well as featuring additional areas for beverage service. Or, a special area might be created for visitors to gather around while the chef takes center stage. Regardless of the type of entertaining space, kitchen planners need to ask more questions to learn what the prospective client really means when they say, “We entertain in our kitchen.” The specialist must also be familiar with unique appliances designed to make entertaining easy for the hostess, and have a good grasp of how much seating and standing space is required for people to comfortably gather together in.

During this program, Briana Simmons will identify four specific types of entertaining spaces, discuss special purpose appliances available to facilitateentertaining, and list special requirements for both standing and seated areas in and around the entertaining sector of the new kitchen.

Briana Simmons is currently a Regional Trainer for Whirlpool Corporation, where she is responsible for training accounts on all of the Whirlpool Corporation Brands, which include Amana, Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid and Jenn-Air.
