World Environment Day 

Bike to the Bridge

Sunday 4th June 2017

The World Environment Day Bike Ride will be a great opportunity for people to ride to the new Eudlo Creek Bridge pedestrian/cycle bridge and be one of the first riders to cross the bridge. The ride is a FREE activity and is open to competent riders of all ages. It will be led by experienced guides,  the 10km return cycle route is entirely on pathways and travels over a predominantly flat course.

What to wear/bring? Things I need to know!

  • Participants will need to provide their own ride-worthy bikes and helmets.
  • It is recommended that participants wear closed-in shoes eg. lace-up joggers.
  • Participants will be responsible for transporting their own personal items such as additional clothing, food, water etc.
  • At the completion of the ride, participants will be responsible for the security of their own bikes. It is recommended to have a bike lock (or similar device).

Terms & Conditions

  • I/we understand that participation in the World Environment Day Bike Ride involves riding bicycles on sections of public pathways with other cyclists and pedestrians, in addition to crossing roads used by other traffic. I/we are aware that risk of personal injury and loss/damage to personal items exists. By participating in this event, I/we choose to accept these risks.  
  • In my judgement, I/my children/family have sufficient competence, experience and fitness to participate in this ride. 
  • I/we understand that the World Environment Day Bike Ride is not a race.
  • I/we understand that the World Evironment Day Bike Ride is a guided ride, and agree to abide by all instructions given to me/us throughout its duration.   
  • I/we hereby release and exempt and indemnify the Sunshine Coast Council, sponsors and other persons and organisations involved in the World Environment Day Bike Ride from all action, proceedings, demands and costs, expense and claims whatsoever made or undertaken by any person arising out of my/my child’s/my family’s participation in the World Evironment Day Bike Ride.   
  • Sunshine Coast Council reserves the right at any time to refuse entry to this event. 
  • I accept that I/my children/family may appear in photos for future promotional material.
