New Free Sunday Program - Learn about Mystics

What is Mysticism? Who is considered a Mystic? Can you be a mystic?

Introducing the Mystics is a free program on Sunday, September 9 & 16 after Sunday Liturgy at Benet Hill Monastery (11:30 am-12:30 pm)          

Please join us on these two Sundays for a small taste of our ongoing series, Befriending the Mystics.

 While this is a free event, donations are welcome and we ask that you register online to help us in the planning process 

Part 1, September 9: Sister Ana Cloughly, OSB  and John Wolf will share some basic historical and contemporary views on mysticism and how Befriending the Mystics may help you on your journey of faith.

 

  Part 2, September 16: Steve Gabriel and Rick Klein will share a      little about two modern mystics, Teilhard de Chardin, SJ and Sister   Ilia Delio, OSF.

Prepay Fee: $100 per Block or Save $60 and Register for all 4 Blocks at one time                                                

Mysticism has a long history in our Christian Tradition. The mystical experiences of many saints are well documented. However, mystical experience is very personal and extremely intimate. Each mystic has had very special encounters with God which we are privileged to share. The Befriending the Mystics program is designed to give participants a chance to peek in on the mystical experience of a variety of people throughout history. Each session includes prayer, a presentation on a particular mystic and sharing the mystic's writings. We hope you will join us!
